Are you ready for the Squatober challenge? This is an activity promoting physical wellness in our community. There is a daily goal for each day in October if you would like to participate. Visit https://www.simpsonptsa.org/health_wellness to learn more about this and other initiatives throughout the year.

Several student-led activities and competitions are being planned throughout the week. Activities and photos will be posted on this event page.

We are actively seeking donations for the Simpson Silent Auction and would appreciate your help!

Need a donation idea? Here are a few that are always "hot" sellers:

• Tickets to a professional sporting event or popular show or concert.
• Got a get-away? Donate your vacation home for a weekend or week stay.
• Artist in the family? Donate a painting, sculpture, pottery, photograph....
• If you have a special talent (knitting, cooking, gardening, etc.) consider offering a "101" class to a small group.
• Put together a theme basket - sports, books, beach, tools, movie night, etc.
• Member of a golf club? Donate a round of golf for a pair or foursome.
• Have a favorite restaurant in the area? Donate a gift certificate or better yet, ask them to!

This is also a great opportunity to advertise your businesses. All donations are tax deductible. Proceeds from the event will benefit the many important programs and services provided for our students, teachers, and families by the Simpson Middle School PTSA.

The 14th annual waterArt Calendar contest for Middle School students enrolled in Cobb County and City of Marietta School Districts is accepting submissions. Submit a two-dimensional original art work in any medium depicting “How water is important to me” by Friday, Oct. 13. The submission must include a 50-word statement explaining how their artwork represents the theme. Selected art will be posted online, and 12 winning entries will be included in the 2024 waterSmart calendar to be distributed throughout the county. (Photo shows 2023 cover art). For complete rules information email sarah.dunn@cobbcounty.org
