On behalf of Simpson PTSA, welcome to Simpson Middle School!  We are looking forward to a great 2023-24 school year. 

If you are a first-time Middle school parent, the transition from Elementary school may seem overwhelming. PTSA is here to ease that transition by being your go to resource for school information. The PTSA offers many opportunities for you to participate and share in your child's Middle school experience. We are excited and looking forward to a wonderful year ahead. 

What does your PTSA do at Simpson Middle School?

Our goal is to support and connect students, staff, and parents throughout the year,  and bring our Simpson community together. We host numerous events such as STEAMapalooza, International Night and our popular Spirit Nights at local restaurants!  Your Simpson PTSA sponsors many programs throughout the year including our new Family Literacy Nights, Grade level activity nights and the National PTA Reflections program to name a few. We are dedicated to supporting our teachers by providing grants, educational tools and celebrate our wonderful Simpson MS staff with monthly treats, Teacher Appreciation Week etc. 

How can you get involved in your child's Simpson Middle School experience? 

If you haven’t already, please consider joining PTSA today at www.simpsonptsa.org . Membership is open to parents, students, teachers, grandparents, Partner in Education, Sponsors and community members who want to help our school. 

We hope you will consider buying a membership package or making a one-time donation to help us fund all the ways we wish to impact our school. In order to make it possible for all students to attend events without charging a fee or holding traditional fundraisers, Simpson MS PTSA asks each family to donate to the PTSA. Students do not need to sell products or discounts, which helps other school organizations to also fund-raise in support of our school.  All PTSA donations are tax-deductible!

We have many volunteer opportunities, depending on your desired level of involvement. Don’t believe the myth that parents are no longer wanted in Middle school!  We have several opportunities for you to get involved. Please take a moment to fill out the volunteer interest form  on the PTSA website to see where your time and talent can help our Simpson Family. 

We look forward to meeting you on Soaring Day, please stop by the PTSA table to learn about volunteer opportunities, purchase spirit wear, and student agendas, plus meet our Executive Committee Officers and Board of Directors.

Please join us on August 17th (Open House), for our PTSA General Membership Meeting. 

The agenda includes an amendment to our existing bylaws. Simpson PTSA would like to amend our bylaws to increase annual dues for individual members from $7 to $10. This change is due to GA PTA raising the amount of our dues sent to the State, a proposed National PTA dues increase, and an increase in the cost of programming and supplies. The new $10 membership will put us in line with the majority of schools in ECCC PTA and East Cobb. It also ensures that more of your membership dues stay with Simpson PTSA so we can continue providing programs and events our students, families, and faculty rely on.

There are many ways to be involved in your children's educational experience in Middle School!! The PTSA is committed to a variety of programs and we always welcome those who are interested in helping. Please contact us to let us know how you would like to participate!

We always need additional volunteers for any of our Committees. There is a Committee for every interest and time commitment.  Even working parents can contribute!  It's a great way to be involved in your child's education and meet new people as well.

Your help is needed!  Complete the Volunteer Interest form and we will be in touch with you.  There is no commitment by completing this interest form.    

Each year the eighth grade has a shirt designed by one of our very own 8th grade designers.  The back of the shirt includes the names of all the 8th grade students. (Shirts are 100% cotton)   Shirts will be worn for all 8th grade activities throughout the school year.  All proceeds from this shirt will be used to support the 8th grade end of year activities.

In addition the PTSA is collecting funds on behalf of the 8th grade class to support the 8th grade dance and other end of year activities.  We are suggesting that each family donate $25 to this fund but any amount is appreciated.
