2024-25 Reflections program - "Accepting Imperfection"

National PTA Reflections

Hey student artists.....have you started working on your entry for National PTA's Reflections 2024-25? Entry is FREE. We hope many of our talented students will participate!

This year's theme is "Accepting Imperfection". Choose from 6 categories including visual and performing arts. You can submit an entry in all 6 categories (one entry per category).

Cultural Connections - 2024 Bulletin Board

The school year is off to a great start. We are looking forward to a year filled with many opportunities for community involvement. On Soaring Day, families were greeted with a welcome bulletin board.

🎨 Simpson families, could you help set up the September PTSA bulletin board with the theme spotlight "National Hispanic Heritage Month"?

➡️ Most of the work can be done upfront on your time. Grab another artsy parent or family member who wants to collaborate and put it together during the first week of school!

➡️ Each month, the Cultural Connections Committee (CCC) sets up a bulletin board at school with a themed spotlight (Signup Genius link below has details on each month).

Simpson 8th Grade Shirts - On Sale Thru Sep. 4th

Each year the eighth grade has a shirt designed by one of our very own 8th grade designers. The back of the shirt includes the names of all the 8th grade students. (Shirts are 100% cotton) Shirts will be worn for all 8th grade activities throughout the school year. All proceeds from this shirt will be used to support the 8th grade end of year activities.

In addition the PTSA is collecting funds on behalf of the 8th grade class to support the 8th grade dance and other end of year activities. We are suggesting that each family donate $25 to this fund but any amount is appreciated.

Cobb County Board Meetings

Mark your calendar! Below are the dates for the upcoming CCSD Board Meetings through the end of the school year. Unless otherwise notes, each meeting begins at 2pm with a work session and public comment, followed by the 7pm Board meeting with public comment. Meetings occur at 514 Glover Street, Marietta or are available ONLINE by clicking HERE. You can also watch previous board meetings via the link above.
