Highlights from 2021-22 inaugural year - 

• Google Translate functionality was added to the PTSA website to read about happenings in the language of your choice.

• A dedicated DEI page was created on the PTSA website.

• Monthly DEI newsletters were created and shared on the PTSA Newsletter and PTSA social media pages.

• A Bulletin board displaying a monthly theme was established in the corridor leading to the Commons, across from the main office.

• Culture and family history was shared through recipes published in the monthly newsletter. Food is love, after all! A cookbook was also compiled at the end of the year, showcasing favorites across all cultures.

• Recurring and one-time events highlighting DEI in Literature/Arts/STEM were offered (monthly student art contest, themed monthly panel style exhibits in partnership with the KSU Museum of History, a curated art show highlighting Women in the Arts in partnership with Marietta Cobb Museum of Art).

• A year end keepsake sticker design contest was offered to all 8th graders and the winning design was printed/distributed to students and staff.
